What part of the year are you most susceptible to burnout.  Also what contributes most to your burnout?

I start to really begin to burnout shortly after Spring Break.  Maybe if there was not a Spring Break then things would continue as normal, but most tend to begin the shut down process after Spring Break.

Burn out for me hits right after Concert and Sightreading contest.  Especially when the contests are moved up earlier each year, or so it seems.

I agree.  Also it does seem that the contest are being moved up in the calendar while the school year is extending.  Go figure.

Burnout is a major concern for lesson teachers.  I have seen so many come and go over the years.  If you last for about 5 years then I think that you have learned to deal with and it probably takes a few more in order to truly be able to adapt to it.  Just to many factors.

For me it seems to be an uphill struggle after S&E.  Apparently I am not alone.

Excellent topic.  This is something that really occurs and is rarely discussed.
