Are there any band instrument makers in Texas?

There are a few independent specialty shops that I know of.  I don't think that there is a major manufacturer located in Texas.  I might be wrong though.  Good question.

I think that Conn used to have a factory in Texas.

I know of a number of guitar and string shops in TX.  Not that this really answers the question.

Conn had a factory in Abilene- don't ever buy an "Abilene" Trombone. There are better as scrap metal. Quality took a nose dive when Conn left Elkhart.

What dates did Conn make instruments in Abilene?  What instruments were  made?

I think the Conn factory made WW and Brass instruments.  If I recall they shut down the Abilene factory in the late 80's.

Antiqua Winds.  I started a thread about them.  Curious.
