How is the quality of the recent trombones produced by Edwards? Anybody see them at TMEA? The quality had been going down in past years. It seems as though Edwards was really beginning to loose some steam due to other makers like Shires, Conn, Courtois, etc...
I have been told by several very reliable repairmen that the quality of Edwards has been in continual decline. Scrimping on materials and shortcuts. Sad because they really raised the bar years ago. I remember when I bought my Edwards back in the early 90's. Pretty good quality. Since then the customer service has been less than desirable. I have recieved wrong parts and incorrect bore sizes and you would think that since it was their mistake that they would be more than willing to correct the issue but it was not anything like that. Real jerks. My next trombone will not be an Edwards. Edwards are not worth the money.
